Here's your chance to visit 1164 Morning Glory Circle! All you have to do
is find a perfect match! : - ) If you see a house
that resembles the Stephens' house somewhat, take a picture and
e-mail
me! Some of these aren't all that good as lookalikes, but do contain some basic
similarities. Also, for fun, I've included some lookalikes to other Ranch buildings
and the Brady Bunch house!
Original 1164 prototype! |

Not only does this house look like a perfect match
to 1164, it was actually the prototype used for the design of 1164 at Columbia Ranch!
Since it really hasn't changed since the 1950s, today it looks more like the Stephens' house than 1164 itself,
complete with similar bushes and front walkway. Click here
to view more of my photos of this house. These images are © Adam R.

Around 1970,
a builder called the Berne Company built some houses near New
Orleans similar to 1164, complete with a bay window, front gable with window, and two
windows in a dormer above the front door.
Each house features 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, a formal living room, dining room, family room and
a detached 2-car garage. They originally sold for around $37,000 but are now worth around
$200,000. Some are located in the city of Kenner,
in the Driftwood Park subdivision; one is on Driftwood Blvd., and one is on Antigua
Drive. Another one is off of Terry Pkwy. near Laplaco Blvd. It's visible from
the corner and is on a curved street. There are probably about 5 more in the
Driftwood Park subdivision. Here are some images! |

1164 lookalike: near Evansville, Indiana |
One of my readers found
a house for sale in the Evansville Courier newspaper in June
or possibly July of 1995 that strongly resembled 1164. I presume the house was
somewhere within reasonable distance of Evansville. One of these days I'll
find archives of that newspaper and will look for the house. |

1164 lookalikes: Omaha, Nebraska |
One of my visitors once wrote,
"My aunt once owned a home nearly identical to 1164 in the 60th & Ames St.
area of Omaha, NE. Their subdivision was filled with look-alikes (and near-lookalikes) all built in the
mid tp late 50s." I did travel to Omaha and drove ALL OVER the area around 60th and Ames, but
found nothing! : - | Perhaps I missed something... |

Jeannie's house lookalike: Near Mobile, AL? |
|
Here's a VERY good lookalike of
Jeannie and Tony Nelson's house! If only the white part and the brick areas were
reversed, it'd look even more like it! A friend of mine saw this in a newspaper ad, I think
from near Mobile, Alabama. The ad stated: Dawes Lake Estates Beauty... This 1.5 story brick & stucco
cottage has a master suite & 3 bedrooms upstairs. Large kitchen & wood deck. Loaded w/ extras.
